About Blueprint Counseling
Hello and welcome to my website! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and my office is located in Meridian, Idaho. I have over a decade of experience working in the mental health field providing services to children, adolescents, and adults. I designed this website to express my therapeutic style, focus, training, and how I may address specific problems. I look forward to speaking with you and answering any questions you may have.
I specialize in helping my clients to overcome grief, loss, and trauma. This includes working with kids (8+), adults, and families through an array of issues including but not limited to depression, self-harm, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, abuse, trauma, career/education, goal-setting, family issues, LGBTQ issues, and a wide range of life transitions. Having overcome losses of my own, my aspiration is to help clients “build a better tomorrow, today” and see results as quickly as possible so they can have meaningful, joy-filled lives while honoring their past.
I graduated with my Master’s of Science in Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University and Bachelors of Science in Social Sciences from Boise State University. My skill-set includes many approaches to treatment: EMDR (Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT, and Client-centered Therapy. My training has given me the tools to provide a safe and confidential space to build trust and rapport with my client. Through empathy and empowerment, my goal is to come along side my clients, and meet them where they are at so they can begin processing their thoughts and feelings.
With the many ups and downs in life, there are times in our life that we may feel “stuck” and longing for change. Often times our “plan” or blueprint for our life changes as we face challenges and transitions. That is one of the most beautiful and also one of the most challenging aspects of life! My counseling approach is to build on those things that are working well. Additionally, it is equally important to identify what may have worked in the past however is no longer working. Change can be very challenging because it is not what we know and can feel very uncomfortable. To be entrusted to pursue a journey towards health with a client is a privilege. I seek a collaborative bond within the counseling relationship. I have found that counseling can create a spark to empower a person to influence their life in ways they desire. By talking about those thoughts and feelings, you can free yourself from their crippling effects.
